Children’s Orchard in Rowley, Massachusetts is a great concept for kids – and parents. The kid’s resale market is especially important because it addresses an entirely different need: It isn’t just a choice to change sizes, it’s a MUST! Children outgrow their clothing very quickly, so Children’s Orchard allows parents to bring in “gently-used” clothing to sell that their children have outgrown, and purchase like-new clothing at a much lower cost in their child’s current size.
At Children’s Orchard, we buy and sell “gently-used” children’s apparel, shoes, toys, and equipment. Since kids outgrow their clothing so fast, it’s a struggle for parents to keep their kids in quality clothing without spending a fortune on it. Something your kids loved that fit them perfectly a month ago might not fit them at all now. Why not be able to dress your kids in clothes they love without breaking the bank – and also have the opportunity to bring in their barely worn clothing to get cash or credit towards something that is “gently-used” for them?
Because parents want their kids to be able to dress in a practical but fun way, Children’s Orchard makes it much easier to buy them like-new clothes while still being able to put food on the table. We help you meet your kid’s everyday lifestyle changes by growing and adapting their wardrobe in the most cost-effective way possible… RESALE. And at prices up to 70% off of retail, the savings are huge.
Children also grow out of their toys and equipment very quickly. They either become bored or a new “fad” has moved them onto something else. Babies tend to only use some equipment for a few months, leaving them almost brand new when it is time to move onto another item.
The Children’s Orchard in Rowley has been buying from people in our area since 1987! We started as a small location in Ipswich before outgrowing the space and moving to Rowley. We have seen children grow from babies into teens who outgrew our store too quickly, and are now back in as parents shopping for their own children. The original parents from our early years are now back as grandparents revisiting their favorite store.
Items being returned that are left for more than a week will be donated to a local charity, unless arrangements have been made with the store ahead of time.
Call before coming in to make sure the buyer is in. Call for sizes and items that we are looking for!

Thirty years ago, an Ipswich grandmother named Maureen started a local business she hoped would help her children and grandchildren – and it’s still going strong. We caught up with her daughter Steph Johnson and granddaughter Jamie, now owners and operators of Children’s Orchard Rowley, to find out more about the family business and how things have changed since Maureen opened that first store. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Quite a selection of gently used baby clothing toys and other Goods.
Was able to buy a Jumperoo here for $30. Best $30 I ever spent. The baby loves it and will certainly get use over the next several months vs. $120 brand new.

They have an amazing assortment of new and used items! Helpful staff to navigate you through the goodies! My child outgrew clothes so I sold them here and used the store credit to buy bigger clothes. I highly recommend this place for buying and selling! Great gift ideas too!
